After reading this for the second time, I did like it better than the first time (which I rated it 2 stars). While I still didn't think it was amazing, I did get into the story more this time around. What tempted me into rereading this one is when I finished it the first time I kept thinking about it. I kept thinking that this should have been a book I should love. Well, I don't love it, but I did like it.
The first time around, the dialogue between Fang and Val really got to me. I always envisioned Fang yelling since his lines were always in caps. This time it didn't bug me as much. Actually, after the first few chapters with Fang, I stopped noticing it.
The story itself is what really got me to reread this. I thought it interesting. The movement, the conflict with the vampires. Looking back, I'm glad I gave this another chance. I may not have loved it completely, but I am definitely interested in reading the next one and that's good.
