What an amazing story! The book description doesn't do it justice. This is more than a romance, more than a coming of age story, this is a well defined life of a teen in the 80's. The hardships, struggles, drama, victories, lessons and betrayals that Ari experiences were heartfelt. Ari is an amazing character and one cannot help but relate to her experiences. One of the strongest characters I have read in a long time. Strength isn't refusing to cry after bad things happen, but the actions that are taken after that truly define us.

This is the debut of Rosenthal and I will be keeping an eye out for her later. She has a gift with words and weaving them together to create such a wonderful story. I want to say thanks to Lorraine for letting me read this ARC. It was amazing.
