I really couldn't get into this story. The story itself was just alright for me, but it was the writing style that really turned me off. Jumping scenes for back story broke up the flow of the narration. I felt like the author put too much detail into the back story than what would have really been necessary to get the idea. For others, this might be appealing, to get the whole story. For me, I just didn't like it.

I really wanted to like to like this one, as it seemed very interesting from the blurb and from other reviews. A part of it might also be that it did center around a male character first person narration as well.
