This was more than I thought it was going to be. I was expecting a light romantic suspense novel. It wasn't very light. It was very well detailed and orchestrated that I lost myself in the pages. Cosmos was such an interesting character that you couldn't help but love the old goon and you couldn't help but be intrigued when following Iris and watch her wake up out of a dull life and really begin to live.

I haven't really read a mystery in ages, preferring romances almost exclusively these days. But this was a nice break from my usual reads and I loved the mystery. I loved what Cosmos was trying to do and I loved watching Iris and Mickey.

This is the first in a series and I can't wait to read more. I'm not sure what format it is in, but I would definitely like to read more about Allie and Cory.
