I wasn't sure exactly what I was getting into when I started reading, but I was quickly drawn to the story and to the characters. I thought the story was unique and very different from some of the other ya paranormal books I have read. I am always on the look out for something different and I was very pleased with this one.

I was expecting some sort of vampire book when reading the description originally so I was very glad for the fresh storyline. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did, but I really fell for Kate and Vincent. Kate had such a heartbreaking beginning and she struggled all the way through with her new life and throwing in Vincent didn't seem to help at first.

I thought this was great. The pages were filled with heartbreak, action, tenderness, friendship, and romance. Highly recommended! I can't wait for the second book.
