I wasn't expecting to really like this one as much as I did. But after reading Shut Out, I had to give this a try. And I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The Duff was a heartwarming, coming of age story. Bianca is a strong character. She's also vulnerable but it makes her an easy character to want to get to know and to connect with.
I wasn't sure what to make of Wesley at first. He was a little hard to deal with, especially when we get commentary from Biance aka Duffy on just what if feels like for her every time she has contact with Wesley. I really started to like Wesley more as he had to coax her problems from her. She gave vague answers and only relinquished her secrets after being hounded about it.
I'm glad I read this and I really do recommend people picking this up and giving it a try. Once I immersed myself in the story, I couldn't leave it until it was finished. With great characters and great writing, this was an utter joy to read.
