I grew up reading books like The Babysitter Club and The Boxcar Kids. Now I read Romance, Young Adult, New Adult, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, Dystopian and any mixture of these all depending on what my mood is. I love Stephen King, Michael Connolly, JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Jane Austen, JK Rowling, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs and many others.

Drink, Slay, Love - Sarah Beth Durst I have to say, this was pretty entertaining. This was different from other YA Vampire books I have read. What I liked most about it was that Pearl starts evil and then grows a conscience. Plus, what girl doesn't like a story with a unicorn?

This was better than I had expected it to be. I'm not going to lie, the cover threw me off a bit. I'm not sure what about it I don't like, but it didn't grab me the way it has a lot of other people (it's okay! I don't mind being in the minority!). The story was pretty captivating and held my attention to the very end.

I really liked Pearl's conflict of interest. She starts to change and doesn't quite know what to do, if she should just give in and follow the orders of her family, or if she should follow the new voice of reason in her head. It made for a very fun read. The dynamic of Pearl's family was great. I liked them more than maybe I should (since they are evil). It was just a fun read all around.
