Unfortunately, this is a DNF for me. I struggled through this, made it a bit further than half way and couldn't pick it up again. I never connected to Gen. I thought she was a bit too juvenile. I understand she is a teenager, but the temper tantrums she threw drove me nuts. And around the fourth or fifth time she fainted/passed out, I wanted her to cowgirl up.

What got me the most was there was very little world building. Besides being a parallel to the novel, Twilight, I really didn't feel as if I was visiting this world. It was more tell than show. I grew frustrated and had to force myself to keep reading until I eventually gave up and spared myself more aggravation.

I live for romance. William didn't seem like a great love interest. I didn't care for him and I really hated how insta-love thing popped up for Gen and William. She was all too trusting way to fast. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It didn't work in this book. It felt like because they had this instant mating thing going on, that the characters didn't have to be fully develop or given room to grow throughout the story. Gen is kept in the dark about both aspects of her life, being a werewolf and a princess. I didn't care for this too much. Her mother had spend her time training her how to survive, but leaving out the teeny, tiny detail of the werewolf heritage.

I was really disappointed with this. I had hoped for a great werewolf story, something unique and attention grabbing. Instead, it was the opposite. I got tired of the Twilightesque story and was all too happy to leave the story unfinished.
