What I enjoyed most about this is that this does not blend with the countless other paranormal books out there that feature vampires, werewolves, demons or the like. It was a nice change from finding something only to realize that I have, indeed, read it before, only better by another author. But I have to say I really enjoyed this interesting new concept of paranormal creatures.
There was very little I found that annoyed me. Which is great. I thought the story seemed very well done, and I enjoyed learning more about Darian as she learned more about herself. There seems to be a hint of a love triangle but for the most part, I think Darian knew who she wanted and didn't go through high school dramatics on who to pick.
As much as I liked Darian and Tyler, my favorite character would probably be Raif. This guy is super likable. I really enjoyed the new role he had in Darian's life. Almost like a father to a daughter, without getting creepy.
I will be a big girl and admit the name of the book put me off this for quiet a while. I avoid anything to do with 50 Shades of Grey and finally took a friend recommendation to really get me to look at it closer. Don't be like me. I even realize, now versus earlier, that it probably wasn't a play on another series title. Whoops. Glad I did give it a try.
