I grew up reading books like The Babysitter Club and The Boxcar Kids. Now I read Romance, Young Adult, New Adult, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, Dystopian and any mixture of these all depending on what my mood is. I love Stephen King, Michael Connolly, JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Jane Austen, JK Rowling, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs and many others.
The Outsider
I wanted to really like this. I finished watching the tv show and thought the books should be just as good. Only they aren't. Instead I found a book written as if it were made for first graders. It was overly simplistic and while the plot seemed interesting, the story was mediocre. So mediocre, in fact, I was surprised that this was something that actually made it to film. But luckily the tv show is much better. It rarely works out that way.
